Avocado Salsa Recipe

Serves 2-3

There are many types of salsa that you can make in your kitchen. This easy recipe combines avocado, tomato, and other ingredients to create a unique salsa that will liven up any party! Avocados add a fun twist to homeade salsa.

This recipe is also healthy. Avocados contain good fats which help to lower cholestero and tomatoes contain lycopene which lowers your risk of getting cancer. Enjoy this appetizer with a bowl of corn chips

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium sized vine-ripened tomato, diced
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 sweet yellow onion - diced
  • juice of 1/2 lime
  • pinch sea salt
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ground pepper to taste
  • blue corn chips for dipping
  • few sprigs of cilantro - chppped (optional)

Directions:

Combine the diced tomato, diced onions, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper and stir together.

Cut the avocados long ways. Remove the seed by driving a large knife into it at full speed (careful now) and pulling out the seed.

Cut up the avocado into small 1/2 inch cubes.

Stir the cubed avocado in with the other ingredients.

Serve and...
