Easy Ravioli Dinner
Serves 3
I use fresh ravioli from the grocery store or a local farmer's market for this quick and easy ravioli dinner recipe. If you need to freeze the ravioli, just cook slightly longer, until the ravioli float. The nice thing about freezing ravioli is it's easy to have all the ingredients on hand for the days that you want to cook dinner don't feel like going to the store.
Serve with a bottle of red wine, a salad, and garlic bread for a complete Italian meal.
Ingredients:
- 25-30 frozen cheese ravioli (I use Kroger brand)
- 1 jar of pasta sauce with mushrooms (I recommend using Newman's Own mushroom marinara sauce)
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Heat the tomato sauce over medium heat in a medium sized covered sauce pan until simmering, stirring occasionally. Once simmering, turn to low and keep covered until serving. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add ravioli pieces to the boiling water and cook them for 2-3 minutes. Strain the ravioli and distribute onto plates. Top with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese.
